Fundy National Park Event Confirmed

Mark your calendars folks. May 16th, 2015.

We are officially confirming another year of geocaching at Fundy National Park.

Our listing has already been published so check it out: GC5RXPD

The event will run the same way the previous years have gone with staff onsite at the event location throughout the day. Passports, maps, and other information will also be available from the event location and downloadable from here as that information becomes available.

We currently do not know whether or not there will be a geocoin for this year’s challenge but we will let you know as soon as we have more information. We can now confirm that a new trackable coin will be available. Please see below for a preview of the coin.

Lastly, I will be hosting the Fundy Morning Breakfast event the day following the main event much like it has the last few years.

So mark your calendars, and keep an eye on the event listing (once it’s published) and on here for more updates.

  • More news, that is not one coin but two! Everyone who completes the challenge will receive both of the coins pictured above, one is trackable and one isn’t and it will have a new unique icon.

  • dexter and i were discussing tonight after supper about our plans for this upcoming event.

    we can hardly wait!

  • It is VERY likely that you will see a mix of different cache types this year. Me and Ken have been discussing this and it may end up being a 5 icon day.

We’ll keep folks updated as we learn more.

  • How early are the caches usually posted? I seem to always arrive at the meetup and see lots of people who have already done caches.

    • Found this on the cache page, hope it answers your question.

“Like last year, we will work with the reviewers to get the caches out later in the day Friday to let some people get an early start and to give everyone the chance to download them if possible. There is WiFi in certain areas of the Park.”
