In an effort to help local New Brunswick geocachers, Cache Up NB has produced a series of several videos that outline everything from creating your geocaching account, to finding a cache online, seeking it in the real world, and logging it. Below are the various videos which you can watch to give you the “intro” into the world of geocaching, as seen from a New Brunswicker.

I created these videos myself and I use a Garmin Legend HCx in the video. If you use a different GPS, obviously parts of this video will not work for you, but it should give you a good idea of how it all works in general.

Step 1: Creating your www.geocaching.com account

Step 2: Using geocaching.com to find a geocache near you and going to find it

Step 3: Logging your find on geocaching.com

Bonus #1: Using Google Maps to find and map out geocaches

Bonus #2: Using the “Send to GPS” feature of Geocaching.com
