Nature Trust of New Brunswick – Geocaching in Preserves

I am volunteering some time with the Nature Trust of NB, helping them develop geocaching guidelines with respect to their conservation land holdings. They want to continue to allow geocaching but in a way that is respectful of the ecological integrity of the areas. Just wanted to give the geocaching community a heads up that this is on the way sometime this fall.

I should mention that the Nature Trust conservation areas are technically private lands, even though they allow public access. So, permission should be requested before placing a cache.

They have also released a really cool app available on both Apple and Android called ExploreEcoNB. This was developed in partnership with nine other organizations (such as the province of New Brunswick and the Nature Conservancy of Canada) which features information on over 300 natural spaces within the province.
