Saint John Exhibition

This program has been discontinued. Information on it is for archive purposes only.

Cache Up NB partnered with the Saint John Exhibition to bring you a unique geocoin challenge program to the city of Saint John.

You can download the passport for the geocoin challenge program here.

The Saint John Exhibition traces its route to the 1851 Saint John Crystal Palace Exhibition when Saint John hosted Canada’s first industrial exhibition. Fairs and circuses have visited Saint John as early as 1818 though.

In 1889 the present Exhibition Association of the City and County of Saint John was formed. Over the years the EX has been known as the Dominion Exhibition and the Atlantic National Exhibition but we have returned to our roots as the Saint John Exhibition. Today the EX continues to offer Midway rides, agricultural exhibits and contests, and lots of free musical and cultural entertainment.

The 2014 “Exhibition Geocache Challenge” will have you travel throughout Saint John discovering some of the locations and heritage of Saint John’s exhibitions, fairs and circuses. On August 26 there will be 10 caches released.   Print your passport, fill it in with stickers from each cache and bring it to the event on August 31 from noon to 2pm to receive a limited edition trackable geocoin.  Only 100 are available.  One geocoin per person and you must be present at the event to receive your coin.
