You Are Invited To Join Cacher’s Corner By Phone
This Thursday night at 8pm Atlantic time, me and Rev Slippery will be recording our monthly podcast, Cacher’s Corner. We’ve got a lot to talk about this month with the COAP contest closing and the big Fundy event yesterday. So, for this podcast, we’re going to try something brand new.
As a “beta” test, we’re going to try a “call-in” show with a bit of a twist. Instead of just having folks call in, get put on hold, and then have them come on, have their say, and hang up, we’re opening the podcast to anyone who wishes to join by phone. Here’s how it works:
- On Thursday night at 7:55pm, call in to our dial in # and use the conference ID # (both to be provided by email (see below). If it asks you for an attendee number, simply just push “#”.
- Once connected to the conference, you’ll be placed on hold until just before we are ready to begin
- Just before we begin the podcast, I’ll be doing a “roll call” to see who everyone is and make some notes of the attendees
- Everyone will be notified immediately before we begin “recording” the podcast.
- Once recording begins, it will not be turned off or paused during the podcast
- During the podcast, if too many people are talking at the same time and it gets a bit “noisy” on the line, I have the ability to mute folks so just be aware ahead of time
- Once we are done the podcast, I will end the call and process the recording to post it as a podcast later in the week.
For those who are interested in joining us via the phone on Thursday, please post a comment on here and you will be contacted by email to confirm some other details. The conference ID and phone # will be emailed out the day of the podcast. I expect to send it mid-morning but conference details could come out as late as 7pm that night so be sure to check your email. I will also include the same instructions for dialing in with the email that contains the conference ID #.
Remember that our podcasts usually run a little over an hour so be prepared to be on the phone for at least 75 minutes if not longer.
