Your Plans For Mega Day

Since there are a lot of things going on during the day of the mega, I thought it might be worth asking our local Cache Up NB readers to contribute a little bit of information as to how they plan to spend their day at the mega.

When you have a moment, please do the two polls below, and if possible, put a few comments in below as to what you are most excited about.

  • We have no specific plans for MEGA day but here is what we will be doing around that weekend.

    Monday July 27 Night

    We land in Moncton after a 2 week hiking trip to the Rockies with a group of hiking friends. I figure we will be tired and it will take a while to recover

    Tuesday to Thursday July 28 to 30

    After a two week absence there will likely be quite a few caches and series to go for. So I guess we will be caching

    Friday July 31

    Our daughter Natasha and hubby George arrive for the MEGA and a one week visit. They registered under the family caching name Jake & Ben. They land in the afternoon and we will try and immediately go for the new caches in the tri city to get the coins. They will likely want to get to Greco for donairs

    Saturday August 1

    The four of us will be heading for the MEGA and will go for any remaining caches for the coins before getting there, because the coins will be available there for those who get all the caches.

    We are registered, so we will pick up our goodies and also get the MEGA coins that we ordered. We will try and participate in some activities, and will do at least one Lab Cache.

    We are available to volunteer for any task that the MEGA committee wishes to assign to us.

    Sunday August 2

    The Committee thinks that post MEGA breakfasts on Sunday would be very popular and would be a way for visitors to have some MEGA chat. So they asked us and cableguy to organize separate breakfasts in case there is a large demand.

    So cableguy will have one at the sugarcamp and we will have one at Mooser’s PUB. Both will run from 9 am to 11 am. It would be very helpful for the establishments if they knew how many were coming, so please log a WILL ATTEND to whichever one you prefer.

  • I should add that we doing some cache maintenance runs at this time to ensure that as many of our caches as possible are ready for the MEGA. In addition, Petitcache and wbbill have solved a large number of our micro logics and will be logging finds and doing maintenance if required.

    We have added a few new caches and have plans for a few more before we leave in mid July for Calgary.
