Ambulance dispatcher training.

Hello all, the ACGA has been asked to speak to an ambulance dispatchers training class in Moncton this Wednesday at 9am for 2 hours to help them understand Geocaching and how to use the GPS in order to help in the rescue of someone injured or lost in the woods with a GPS with them. I am also asking in here because there are many Moncton area cachers that visit here as well.
I am looking for a few people who would be capable of doing this, the plan is to give a quick overview of Geocaching and the basic use of a handheld unit and take them outside for some hands on stuff like navigating to a know position and marking your place. It would be nice to have a few different type of units as well.
If you can help please email me.

  • I would love to help out but I work full days and can’t take the time off right now.

  • I would love to help out, but I’m still in school this week. I do have some powerpoints etc for GPS training if you like.

Went well, myself, Jim52 and Tiger Trakker did it and we may see a few more newbies poking around here, they all seemed to enjoy it and get a better understanding of what we do and how geocachers can help with their own rescue if ever needed.
