Atlantic Battlecache – Christmas Update

WELCOME TO ABC2014!

It’s Winter again in Atlantic Canada and that means it is time for another round of Atlantic BattleCache! If you aren’t already signed up, it isn’t too late – the Challenge runs until February 28th, 2014.

Last year we had 149 participants fire over 8000 shots. So far this year we already have 91 cachers firing almost 2800 shots. At this rate we’ll have over 15,000 shots fired by the end of the Challenge. 23 participants already have more than half their board complete.

It is also great to see so many geocaches hidden this year. There have been over 150 so far in the first month.

SPREAD THE WORD!

Tell all your geocaching friends about the Challenge! The more the merrier! I’d like to see another 100 new participants by the time the January newsletter comes out. Even if they only get a single shot off, that makes them eligible for a prize.

The closing event has now been published. It will be held again at the Douglas St Rec Centre in Truro, Nova Scotia on March 8th. For more info check out the GC page:

NEW AND RETURNING SPONSORS

I would like to thank all the great sponsors that have pledged support for the Challenge either through advertising or donation of prizes for the Challenge and the closing event.

  • My favorite Winter caching game.
Finished my board today with 93 finds and 7 hides.
Had to make a trip to PEI earlier this month in order to get
many of the shots as they weren’t available to me in New Brunswick.
Seemed strange to me to walk down a trail and past 4 caches to get a certain one I needed and quickly leave the area to drive to another spot to
    get another shot I needed.

Had lots of fun with this game.
