CUNB on Reddit.com
This is something I have been thinking about for a while and it is also something that has been brought up a few times by local cachers, we would like to have a place to post pictures, videos or links to stories that may not be related to geocaching but we want to share with the members of Cache Up NB. Zor and I have discussed this many times trying to find the best way to integrate something like this into CUNB but could not find a way to do it the way we would like it to be so this is our plan.
We have created, what is called a subreddit on reddit.com for us to share stuff and we can all vote on it so you may like or dislike a post and it will move up or down in the list. For those who have never been to reddit, it is very easy to use and you will either thank us or hate us for introducing you to this awesome way to waste time online. The way it works on reddit is you make an account (easy and free) and then subscribe to the subreddits you would like to follow. There are thousands of subreddits on everything imaginable for you to follow and now there is another, CUNB. So go sign up for an account, search for “CUNB” and subscribe to it. Adding content is also very easy, so let’s load it up with anything you want to share. All you need is the url link to the item you want to share, you can’t just attach your picture unless you load it up to flicker or any other site you use to put your pics online.
The only thing we ask is to keep in mind that anyone can see it, and we want to keep it civil, some what clean and appropriate. It is moderated by Zor and I and we will remove post that seem inappropriate, but we have faith in you all. It is also open to the public so there may be the occasion when someone, not from CUNB posts something we don’t want there and will remove it ASAP. Some adult humor is ok as long as it isn’t overly offensive to others.
There are many great subreddits to follow, here are a few examples: TIL (today I learned) AMA (famous people online and you can Ask Me Anything), geocaching, iPhone, Android, Garmin, Funny, Videos and many more just search.
