Get Ready…..Get Set…..Come Out & Play!
The 2011-2012 New Brunswick Come Out & Play contest officially started this morning.
It’s a contest for all New Brunswick cachers, those residing in NB and those from the border towns of Calais and Houlton, Maine. The goal is to accumulate points (or negative points) by completing 20 of 44 tasks over the next 4 ½ months. Go for high or low score; your choice.
There are launch events being held today in Moncton (GC368E7) and Bathurst (GC35WZ8) and on Sunday in Fredericton (GC363MV), Saint John (GC35XFH) and St. Stephen (GC363K5). We hope you can make it to the event nearest you but you do not have to attend an event to participate in the contest. All the info you need is available here on CUNB by clicking on the “New Brunswick 2011-2012 Come Out & Play Contest” banner near the top of the page.
The rules and tasks have been revised and all the previous links to them have been updated. You may also get them here (French version here).
We hope you’ll join us! Cache safely, have fun and get out and play!!
Awesome! We have, as of 5:10 pm today, 61 players registered and 21 claims submitted! 🙂 It’s going to take me awhile to get to them all so give me a day or two to process them. We forgot that we’d changed the scoring from last year so Terry has to make some major changes to the spreadsheet! Oooops, my bad! 🙁
Not a problem at all, take your time. I can only imagine the amount of work you guys devoted into this. First of all Zor must have done a good bunch of coding and then you and Terry processing and compiling all that info. Hats off to you, I sure appreciate all the efforts everyone involved put in this.
We’ve already got 4 claims 🙂
We submitted our first claim…it included our first multi cache EVER and also our 300th find. All that in just one Task. It’s gonna be a great winter! Thanks so much for organizing this contest!
As of 6:30 pm today, Sunday, Nov 27th, we have 86 players registered and have approved 132 claims. Pretty awesome! 🙂
