GW9 Roadtrip By the Numbers
Being a numbers/stats kind of guy, I felt it would be fun to take a look at how the caching part of our summer vacation broke down, so here’s what I found;

This has turned out to be quite a caching year. I didn’t cache at all until March, but have found almost as many caches this year as I did all of last year. My cache per day average is the highest it has ever been, thanks in large part to over 450 finds in June, where I set personal bests for finds in a month and on a day. I’m hoping to hit 6000 finds before school starts again, which I think is possible with another couple of caching runs. I love the fair weather caching, I guess!
Wow, what a great caching adventure! You sir are one lucky dude to do a trip like that with your family, Kudos!
Nice, sounds like you all had an awesome time.
I cannot count the number of times I told other cachers about the great trip you were doing with your family and how jealous I was! I certainly hope to be able to do one like that when the kids will be old enough to enjoy it as well!
It’s great to be able to do road trips like that. I hope to do a story soon on my GW9 trek
Wow nice caching numbers for sure. I got back from Alberta on Thursday and we drove 5200kms snagging 7 caches in Alberta, 4 in Saskatchewan, 3 in Manitoba, 2 in Ontario and 1 in Quebec. Nothing compared to what you got but I still got to scrach four provinces of my to-do list :-). Caching has been somewhat slower for me so far this year, we haven’t been to Moncton as much as last year. Hopefully I’ll be able to get 1000 finds before the year ends.
