Help me please!

I want to put out some traditional caches for the Come Out and Play contest, as well as a couple of puzzle caches.  If I put clues regarding the coordinates of the puzzle cache in my traditional caches, do the traditional caches still qualify as being “unique” for purposes of the contest or do they become part of a “multi”?  I’m thinking of the Blue’s Clues series by Ron568 where each cache was unique unto itself but you also collected six coordinates so that you could solve the puzzle cache.  My “series” would be along that line.   I would appreciate any input in this regard so that I don’t inadvertantly break the rules.  Thanks for your help!

  • When put into the context of Ron’s series it makes sense to me and would be fine. We also mentioned it to Matt, as we’re not terribly familiar with how puzzles and multis work, and he saw no problem with it either. So, as long as Groundspeak publishes them you’re good to go. Sounds fun!!

  • There are many series of caches around that will give you clues to a final or some other reward such as a coin. Just make sure that the clues are going to last a while so that no one does it and can’t get one section and makes the final impossible to find. These types may require at little more vigilance and maintenance in order to keep the series working. I had some one from PEI replace a container with a clue in it and not tell me therefor one of the clues had gone missing and I had no idea.

  • Thanks for the input, greatly appreciated, I’m a real newbie at laying caches (these will be my first). Rev, good point about vigilence and maintenance, I will certainly bear that in mind.
