Wow Rev.Your videos are dark.Literally.This could have just been a podcast 🙂
Just messing with you.Shooting video in the dark by itself is hard. Its harder doing it and walking, while trying to see where you are going, by yourself, in the snow, through trees, over water and surrounded by wolves.Thank you for your effort.

Night caching is “THE BEST”.I just wish I didn’t find all the night caches here in Moncton.I have none left to do.Hint,Hint, to the cachers who like to hide caches. There are a few #1 Scout night caches around that Snake9 and I have gotten that are great plus a few by others.Did a bunch out of town:

Red Eyes at Night: Haunted Singing Pit — GCY6BC ( ARCHIVED )
Hidden on Hallowed Heath — GCTNCN
Hidden on Hallowed Heath Redux — GC12P53
    The Blair Witch Project –GCR0WJ
The Haunted Statue of Gray’s Island — GCT8HY
Knight Night Cache 1 “Jubilee Woods” by Go!Caching (GC2C8KG)
Knight Night cache 2 “McIver Marsh” by Go!Caching (GC2CAA6)
Knight Night Cache 3 “Ghost of King Seaman” by Go!Caching (GC2CABB)
Knight Night Cache 4 “Medieval Tree” by Go!Caching (GC2CACZ)
Things That Go Bump In The Night — GC263QR

To anyone who has not tried night caching,do it.Its great fun.A little bit different than caching in daylight.Just remember two things.Use the track manager on your GPS or set a waypoint to your car to be sure you don’t get lost and the more powerful the flashlight you have the better.Firetacs are really bright but after a few years they can lose a little bit of their shine.

There is a surge of caching videos from Moncton cachers.Just like the podcast these are great.I hope more people make them.
    Thanks for the vid Rev.

  • I look better in the dark anyway. I want to make more but I don’t want to make too many and drive people nuts either. I had tried to put out a night cache using reflective tape but it isn’t as good as fire tacks. I will try it again, I have a idea for a night Wherigo and maybe list it as a regular as well with alternate ways to get it for those who don’t do Wherigo. You should hide some with all your night experience.

I have thinking a little about placing some hides late spring or early summer.A night cache would probably be one of those. X

I LOVE your podcast, I mean video man! The comments, the mouse trap, the darkness, everything! I love geocaching videos and all sorts of little videos like that! Let’s do more, I really think it adds to the site and to the entertainment side (together with the upcoming possibility to upload pictures, right? 😉 )

And E.B.E51, Thanks for the comment. I actually never got a night cache, and now with this video and your list, I may look to do one shortly.

  • I did that night cache. But we did it in daylight because I am afraid of the dark. It is a whole different experience during the day as you have to figure out the logical route to find the next reflector.

In Gatineau we did a long night time multi. We did it with the grandkids. It took us a long time but we had a great time. It involved following reflectors on a trail in a park. When you saw a double reflector, you had to go off trail to get part of the information needed to calculate the coords. Oh and we did it during the day.

I tell the guys at work there are only two types of people that run around the woods in the dark.Psychopaths and geocachers.Sometimes they are the same person.
