Landsharkz Maritime Visits
We will be at our new (to us) cottage on PEI from May 20-27th, 2010 and back again for the Mega in NS in July. We’re hoping to host or attend an event during our May visit (on the long weekend) so we can meet the locals. We met some of the NB cachers at a Breakfast event in Moncton a couple of years ago, but I’m sure there’s more by now! Once the event is planned we’ll post a note here again.
It hasn’t been published yet (that I’m aware of) but the annual event at Fundy National Park is that weekend. Usually a huge turnout from all over the Maritimes so if you’re wanting to meet folks and get some good hikes in that’s the place to do it. It’s usually on the Saturday so there’s also opportunity to host something Sunday or Monday if you’re not too beat! LOL Check with Rev Slippery for more info. Hope to see you there!

Yes, the Fundy park event is that Saturday until 5pm so if you are having an event in Moncton it would have to be Friday or late Saturday night or on Sunday. The Fundy park event will draw over 150 cachers. I will assume that the 3 Geeks may be set up at the Fundy event, which is hosted by the ACGA. I would suggest contacting the ACGA if you want to sell at the event.
We didn’t get to see Fundy Nat. Pk when we’ve visited before and we sooo want to go there, plus having a booth is a great way to meet just about everyone!
In reality, we were thinking that it would be a more ‘casual’ event – you know… the kind that involves lawn chairs and frosty mugs of Keith’s ;-). Bringing our ‘store’ wasn’t quite what we had planned, PLUS we have an almost impossible amount of work to do at the cottage in a week. Maybe we should get a keg and host a ‘fill the truck with junk, sweep, clean, mop, shop, build, repair and fix’ event at our place on Monday! LOL!
Come to Fundy for the event, it’s worth it! Great hikes to caches, wonderful people and it’s an awesome park. It’ll give you a nice break from the cleaning. LOL
