AnecdotesPa's Caching Tales

Some logs tell a story

I have been seeing logs by a caching couple (meandmybabe) who have only been caching for a few months.  They did our micro series on the trail in Scoudouc and have a different log for each of the 10 caches.  Here are the logs in order. They tell a cute story.  BTW there is no need to point out to me that they were caching in the storm while I was hiding at home.

At the end of their story I posted a few funny caching logs

either it was where it was, or our gpsr was way off 🙂  TFTC

Log Date: 3/1/2010
this one took a minute or two but we found it somewhat wrapped in snow. TFTC

Log Date: 3/1/2010
ran to the spot and found wrapped slightly in snow. decided to take the hint’s advice and finish the series of later as the little one’s legs were getting tired and the road conditions were worsening. really nice spot this time of year. TFTC…. (the hint said STOP -Pa)

Log Date: 3/2/2010
weather seem to be on our side so we came back out to finish the series, trees looked great with the frozen precipitation. TFTC

Log Date: 3/2/2010
it’s refreshing to know that there’s no digging involved and there’s more to come. TFTC

Log Date: 3/2/2010
this one was slightly frozen shut; managed to get it open though. TFTC

Log Date: 3/2/2010
Saw a fox about 50m out while going to this one, which quickly retreated once we were seen at quite the cruising speed, ahhh nature. TFTC

Log Date: 3/2/2010
quite the snow drifts and wind in this area, sheltered ourselves somewhat to sign the log. TFTC

Log Date: 3/2/2010
the better half’s feet took a bit of a dip with this one, oh well (hehehe) lesson learned.Someone’s gonna want to leave very soon. TFTC

Log Date: 3/2/2010
quickly ran to this one after a moderate foot soaking incident at cache #9 provoked half the team to retreat to the car. Had to finish off the series though  🙂  TFTC’s

Log by the Cookers at one of our magnetic micros followed by the next log at the same cache by savarda

Quick grab but longer to put it back. The magnet has come off. Put some gum in to hold it together, sorry we didn’t have any crazy glue with us. TFTC

Trouver la gomme à macher mais pas la cache.

Found the magnet and the gum but not the cache.

Here is a log by DaveDang  It is the first cache he found on Shediac Island after crossing the slushy ice. The log was obviously written by his partner Alisha. They now have a new caching name. Anyhow, it is a cute log.

Out with TheCookers and RJ007. So we made it across the ice. Fewwf! Following me on the ice was Dave then both of TheCookers and RJ007. Great send the pregnant lady across first. If she makes it we’re good. hahaha Oh it was a lot of fun though. TFTC
