What’s In A Name?

Over my caching ‘career’, I’ve tried not to just place quality caches, but to also give them meaningful, if not colorful names. Yes, I have given a cache a dumb name (GC3A77W ), more than once (GC3B55H ), but overall, I’ve tried to give each geocache a name that is either mildly amusing, or one that is relevant to the area or the hide. I have “Hurry Hard” , “Size Matters”, and “Hair Pie 1&2″. Sometimes I like to curse…”Wear the Fox Hat”, “Life’s a Birch”. But it’s always tastefuly done, and all for fun.

I checked my profile, saw the list of over 70 hides, and I’m glad I don’t have any named something like “HDTDRJGYR” or “Evergreen Cache”.

But I’m not the only one that takes pride in naming their caches. Nemo named one “Are you a wingnut”. I’ve noticed names like “Fake trees need water too”, “Arachnophobia”, and the ever popular “Zonker’s caches are all around me”.

I hope to never get to this point, but there exists this one: GC30JFV

Or, here’s one: GC1H8Z6

And finally, the grandest geocache name of them all, one that a reviewer could not refuse: GC1V08E

Any cache name stories?
