Where NOT to hide caches.

Today, I got a FTF at a cache that had a wasp nest at the base of a tree stump. Luckily only one wasp let me have it. As the cache was new and the nest older, the cache owner just simply missed seeing the nest. Here’s my Youtube video of the site…

So I thought that we could discuss, for the benefit of newer cachers, where not to place caches. Obvious places would be near bee/wasp hives, near cliffs, anything that could be dangerous. Also, Geocaching guidelines speak of discouraging the placement of caches unde bridges and overpasses. This one is more an American rule, but nevertheless, it’s there.

Any other stories like my wasp cache?
