Good podcast as usual…
I think the podcast should be biweekly.
Thumbs up if you agree. 🙂
I purposely waiting until I had a bit of time to respond to this.
First off, let me make it clear that I really enjoy doing the podcast. It’s lots of fun and I enjoy chatting with other cachers about caching in our province. That having been said, it might come as a surprise to some that even at once a month, doing the podcast can be difficult.
Between work, family, kids, and being able to get some rest from time to time, trying to find and schedule time to do the podcast sometimes can be difficult. Along with that, as much as it may seem like there is plenty to talk about, there are months where even coming up with good topics can be difficult.
Having one every month makes certain topics easy to do. News, caches, and events are all something that can come up and have happen within a month’s period of time. It’s a good round about number and seems to work quite well.
So, although I am very happy to see that you are enjoying the podcast as much as you are, it’s just not realistic nor practical to be able to do it more often than we do. I think if we were doing it every two weeks or every week, the content would be far less, and we would be grasping at straws for things to talk about. Even now I find that we tend to circle back to many of the same topics which is why we try to have different guests every month.
I tend to agree with Zor. The podcast has been published more than a week ago and i’m only finaly finding the time to listen.(I don’t miss any).As Zor mentioned, life’s comitments and challenges may make me miss the odd one here and there. I look forward to the monthly instlament. Keep up the good work,
Dan
Another great episode. Keep up the good work.:)
The more we like something, the more we want. But the more we get it, the less interesting it becomes.
I can see ZZZZeeeees’ point of wanting the pod cast biweekly. I also enjoy listening to it. But Zor has the strong argument. It would get stale really quick. At least every 4 weeks enough has happened to talk about. Although thinking about it now, we seem to think this is a monthly event, but I am not sure Zor had planned it this way. Remember people, he does these pod cast and maintains this website. Plus the guy does have work and a family.
So lets not want too much of a good thing, only to have it become something dull and boring.
Hey, maybe there should be a list for cachers who would like to be a guest on the pod cast. If everyone likes it so much, get involved.
Having said that, when is the next pod cast? When? When?
I always ask if the owner if there is a cache with needs maintenance icon in an area. If the owner says yes, then I maintain, no answer, I remove if it is wrecked. If it needed a log I will replace the sheet or book without asking any furthure.
As for nuvi-10, I found an old geocache container within 50 meters, I am unsure if it was the right cache, I popped a new log book and it was ready.
