Cache Up NB to host City of Dieppe event

A couple of months ago I was approached by the City of Dieppe to have Cache Up NB host an “introduction” type of event for the city. They heard about this site and the Dieppe breakfasts and wanted to know more about geocaching and how they could get folks from the city of Dieppe involved in this outdoor activity.

After exchanging a few emails, and speaking to another local cacher, an event was planned and has now been published.

Tiger Tracker has graciously offered to host “Géocachette à Dieppe Geocaching – Event“. From the event listing:

An introduction to geocaching workshop will be offered by members of CacheUp NB at 1 p.m. at the St-Anselme Rotary Park. The workshop is free.

With the breakfast that morning, it seems that folks can do a bit of caching in Dieppe afterwards and then head on down to the event.

A huge thanks goes out to Tiger Tracker for volunteering to run with this event. It is greatly appreciated.

  • I’d like to give a huge thanks to Tiger Tracker for putting this event on yesterday and I’d also like to thank some of the seasoned cachers who came out and lended a hand to some of the newbies. We had a pretty decent size crowd there with CBC News on site filming us and interviewing several folks who were participating. Huge thanks to everyone and hopefully we can see more successful events like this.
