Caching partners

Caching partners can take many forms. It can be a couple such as Ma & Pa or Chignecto Duo or milosheart or Sunnygirls who share a caching name.  (Here is a pic of Sunnygirls at their 10000 th cache.. http://img.geocaching.com/cache/8d02d790-a9ab-4610-83e5-923fa7dff47c.jpg).

Caching partners can be a couple who each have their own name such as tetagoucher and Curious by Nature. It can also be the person you call when you solved a puzzle and need company to get it in the dark or who you call when you need help with a puzzle. A caching parnter is the person you call when you see a new series come out in a swamp and you know exactly who would like to go play there with you.

A caching partner is the person with sharp eyes that you bring with you in the woods to find the elusive micro; and you love it when you are ready to quit and they call out: “Got it”. A caching partner is the one  who is eager to get up at 4 am and drive miles with you to an area loaded with caches and who is willing to cache there with you until dark, and maybe even stay overnight and cache all weekend.

Caching partners are people like incepit, Jim52, Mark (Markirene) who take off together for a long caching trip. BTW these 3 are leaving on another caching trip that will include the cache rich bicycles path around Victoriaville QC.

You gotta love teaming up with somebody or another couple and spend time cachng and exchanging caching stories.

BTW did you hear my story about caching with Ma recently on a rural trail not far from Ottawa. Well here is the story.

We had spent most of the day biking on paths in the South west corner of Ottawa. We had a great time and added many caches to our totals. Late in the afternoon we parked on a country road and walked along a path to a couple of caches. When we got the final cache under some trees, Ma stayed on the trail while I did the logging. As I was doing that, I noticed that Ma had disappeared. I looked around and spotted her walking down the trail back the way we had come. I wondered why she had left me there. Well I looked through the cache, signed the log and put everything back where it belonged. When I got out from the trees, I noticed that Ma was a long distance away.  I hurried to catch up with her.  It took a while.  When I caught up I asked why she left.

She replied: ” I saw something big and black in the woods, I think it was a bear”

HMMMM…

I like the way Ma thinks. We only have to outrun our husbands! LOL

I have been out with many other cachers and I consider all of them my caching partners. Would that make me a Poliga-cacher?

I would never leave you in the woods with a bear………’cause I think he would eat you before me 🙂
Caching partners make a day so much more fun, be it a day around town or involving a bit of a trip.
