Introduction to Geocaching videos

I know most of the viewership of Cache Up NB consists of folks who have a pretty solid understanding of how to find a cache, log a cache, and have had their geocaching.com accounts for awhile. But there are those out there who are interested in the sport and have no idea where to start.

Cache Up NB has always had some great information in the “Resources” section, including a Geocaching 101, and FAQs on the subject. Today, I’ve added yet another piece to help out those who want to get started and are a little intimidated by it.

I put together this video series which is a basic walk through of how to get your geocaching.com account, find a cache on the site, go out and get a cache, how to log it, as well as using Google Maps with caches and the Send To GPS features. All of this information is stuff most of us experienced cachers take for granted, but I thought for those who are a little intimidated and unsure of where to begin, I thought this video series might be useful.

If you know of anyone who is interested in the sport of geocaching, feel free to send them the link to the series of videos and if you have any suggestions on other videos you think folks might be interested in, please let me know.

Great job on the video man. If you need a sidekick on your next production, give me a call. Do you remember John “Jackie” Wright? If you get the same type of actresses than the ones they had on that old show, I’ll be your Jackie Wright sidekick in a flash. (are you old enough to remember this British TV show I am talking about?)
