Maritime Mega II – Caching the Capital

Come for the day, come for a week or even longer but do come down east and enjoy our Maritime hospitality.  This Maritime kitchen party promises to be one to remember.

Be part of the fun next summer as we host the Maritimes’ second Mega event here in New Brunswick’s beautiful, cache filled capital city, Fredericton.  Fire yourselves up and join us on July 20th, 2013 and explore the wonderful geocaching opportunities this area has to offer.

The event day will be filled with fun and games, seminars, workshops, vendor kiosks, caching and lots of camaraderie with fellow geocachers from far and wide. Don’t be surprised if a few tall tales are thrown your way!

If you like tricky hides, easy hides, waterfalls or covered bridges, or are just looking for numbers we have it all! Keep your feet grounded on solid earth by taking advantage of over 80km of walking and biking trails within the city that are peppered with caches or, if water is more your thing, paddle your way to Evil Island for a truly unforgettable experience. Come what may and  just let wind take you to the wonders of our natural beauties.

New Brunswick’s capital city, Fredericton, is rich in culture and riverside beauty. Blessed with lovely Odell and Wilmot parks, you’re sure to find the perfect picnic spot. Or go for a freshwater swim at Killarney Lake Park. Be in downtown’s Officers Square for outdoor concerts, films and theater (all for free) that will fill your days and evenings with pleasure. Take a trip back in time and experience living history at nearby Kings Landing Historical Settlement.

  • This is awesome news. I will be gladly volunteer for any labor positions as the need arises, speaking or organizational positions excluded.

This is a great chance to showcase the province to the larger geocaching committee.

  • There will be a place on the mega website to “sign up” to volunteer your services once we know what services are needed. The official website should be up in September to provide more information and for everyone to register.

Don’t forget to log your will attend on GC.com!!
