The Countdown Begins…

Only 9 days left until the Mega and we wanted to take this opportunity to thank everyone, particularly the Fredericton and New Brunswick caching communities, for their support and co-operation. It’s been a long, fun but hectic journey and we’re looking forward to sharing the results with you on the 20th!

A few reminders:

  • All those who missed the Pre-registration cut-off of May 20th can purchase your Event Day registrations at the event at the Registration table from 9:00am – 11:00am and at Cachemporium after that. Registration is $15.00 per person and $5.00 per child under 12 (children under 3 are admitted for no charge).
  • With your registration package you will receive an event bracelet. Wear it. It gives you access to all areas of the venue, the games, workshops, etc. It is also your door prize draw “ticket”, as it is numbered and will be used for that draw. Don’t lose it!
  • Bring your toonies! We’re raffling off a Garmin Montana 600 GPSr. Tickets will be $2.00 each or 3 for $5.00 and will be sold during the BBQ Friday night and at the event on Saturday. They’ll be available at the info booth as well as from a few roving ticket sellers.
  • The Limited Edition geocoin will be available at the Registration table on Saturday morning from 9:00am – 11:00am and from Cachemporium after that for $15.00 each. Less than 100 of these were produced and they are a different finish than the event coin.
  • We will have a Dunk Tank on site and will be having a VIP hour to start it off. We have our MM2OC director, Treehugger21, and some reviewers (TAT and CacheTech) getting wet first, as well as a few other volunteer cachers throughout the day.
  • There are lots of satellite events going on Thursday and Friday so don’t forget to log your “will attends” for those asap.
  • There are still some volunteer shifts available for anyone who would like to lend a hand. A special Volunteer edition geocoin and T-shirt are yours for a 2-hour shift. Check out the volunteer section of the MM2 website.
  • Brunch tickets are still available for Sunday and can be purchased through the MM2 website. They are $18.00 each and that includes everything. Join us to say so long to newfound friends and a great weekend!

Travel safely, bring your sense of adventure and fun and we’ll see you all next week!

milosheart

We're milosheart, also known as Gwen & Terry LeBlanc. We're from Fredericton and have been involved with geocaching since March 2008. When we started caching we each had our own accounts/names. He was Frogger57 and I was milosheart. milo is a nickname of Terry's (from a song he messed up the words to) and, well, I'm his heart (we're still on our honeymoon, 6 yrs on). He logged his first 19 caches then gave up. He loves to go caching, loves the driving, travelling, meeting fellow cachers, searching and finding but could care less about the logging, planning, numbers, etc. He doesn't know how to use the GPS and has no desire to learn, doesn't have a clue what GSAK is, nor care. I love him more for just going with me, blindly sometimes! LOL So we just continued on using my original account and became team milosheart. We cache here in Freddy Beach, Moncton (Terry's hometown), Saint John (my sister and fellow cacher, eebee, lives there) and just about anywhere else we go. Yes, we are addicted. Happily.

  • just a few additions to this.

the limited edition geocoin does not just have a different finish, but it is quite unique and different from the standard edition coin.

In addition to those listed above, Cache Drone (reviewer) will also be joining us for the Dunk Tank VIP hour.
